Hi, I'm Susi and I write for Arcadian Lighting, a cool site for the latest in lighting trends and light fixtures for your home. I am so happy to be a guest here at Restless Oasis this week. My guest post is all about wonderful ways to dress a window. I've pulled together 8 great looks to dress up any window in any room. What are your favorite ways to dress a window? Are yours listed here? Thanks for reading and letting me stop by! Enjoy!

Dressing Windows

Classic floor length curtains are the most common way to dress a window. Hang them at the top of the window or to heighten the feel of the room, hang them from closer to the ceiling.

Love this chic, feminine window shade that gathers in the middle. It is a softer option than a Roman shade yet more structured than curtains.

For a tailored look, we love a simple valance. Love the orange ribbon edge on both the valance and the curtains; it adds a bit of flair to neutral curtains.

Dressing Windows

Roman shades are incredibly versatile and can be custom fit for odd shaped windows. Faux Roman shades are a clever DIY trick for quick window dressing. Lighting fixtures always catch my eye. Love the wall lamps used for great task lighting over these desks.

Stylish window treatments can add color and pattern to any room. Pull down shades can be decorated with paint or fabric to dress up the most utilitarian of window coverings.

If you want a clean look, added privacy but still have natural light, window films are a great idea. Look for them in a variety of patterns to suit your style.

Dressing Windows

Another favorite way to dress windows is the classic bamboo blind. These add color and subtle and work for most rooms, including kitchens. Love the industrial pendant light hanging from the sink!

Dressing Windows

Combining bamboo blinds with curtains is another lovely way to dress a window. The blinds can provide more room darkening power and privacy if lowered, but look great pulled up too.
