I'm just going to apologize in advance if this post is less than coherent......my brain these days is a little scattered. So, hang in there with me. I have been wanting to do something to our bedroom for a while (please don't tell me I'm nesting, I won't acknowledge it). The thing keeping me from this (besides budget) is being caught between two inspirations (that I love) that seem pretty opposite of each other. Take for example, this picture from a favorite blog, Me Oh My. I love the fresh whiteness of it all. It makes me want to crawl into bed for a nap and I can imagine it being the sort of room where you just want to be.

Then take this rustic peaceful room via pinterest. It draws me in, but it's still neutral and soft. This is the go-between for the image above and the following image.

Then take this room I've always admired from The Marion House Book. It's a very different vibe from the first image. It's way less feminine and almost seems opposite of the first image. Now here's my conundrum- can I have both? I love white, soft and fresh (image 1) and I love this rustic global one(image 3).

Then I saw this image today on DesignSponge. I was inspired by the soft global textiles. It gave me hope.

THEN I saw this sham from Anthropologie. The whole duvet ensemble would be too much going on for me, but with this sham and lots of white.....I think I may have found my solution.

And THAT'S the end of my story, hopefully you were able to follow along.
